Default AOS in New York City question

Hi

Does anyone know the length of time it takes between filing AOS papers and the
Green Card interview in NYC?

Replies are welcome, thanks Steve

Good question. Who knows??!! Recent AOS papers are being forward to the National Benefits Center for some kind of processing. I just hope it takes less than the 2 years we are expecting.

Forever?

Seriously look at the present time for 18 to 24 months from date of filing.

The timeline could be fast tracked now that USCIS has taken to using the NBC for processing of EAD and AP which frees up some of the time for onsite processing of AOS. Here's hoping.

You can always checkout the timelines put out by the USCIS at www.shusterman.com

To give you an estimate, I'm on my way to 22nd month of waiting and no clue when to receive even the fingerprint notice.

Hi! I'm actor Troy McClure. You may remember me from such threads as

19 months, ditto.

Despite the rather bold claim on the USCIS website that they are
currently processing 28th June 2002....

Cheers,

Marco

My husband Andy came to NY from London November 21, 2001; we got
married ten days later December 1, 2001. Today is our second
anniversary! We filed for adjustment of status December 10, 2001.

We have our adjustment of status interview Wednesday, December 3.
Andy was notified of the interview date June 3, 2003. His
fingerprints were taken September 12, 2003.

Does anyone have last minute advice about our interview? Compulsive
librarian that I am, I suspect we are overprepared.

Wow! Dodged the conditional greencard bullet by 2 days! Congrats!

Cheers,

Marco
