Hi All,

Heading along the AOS journey with quite a few other Marylanders... Checked on some old posts to see approximately when I would receive AP, EAD and AOS Interview. I found a good few timelines to gauge mine on. I was wondering for my benefit and the benefit of future Marylanders... those who are/have filed from MD to VSC and then on to Baltimore... if you could take a moment to post your updated timeline of mailing, NOAs, EAD letters (fingerprinting and interview), AP and AOS Interview. It would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I'll start with mine:
21-Aug-03 Mailed AOS, EAD, AP to VSC
23-Aug-03 VSC Received package at: 2:24PM
4-Sep-03 BCIS Cashed all three checks
8-Sep-03 Received all three NOAs
AOS: Processing time of: 365-540 days
EAD: Processing time of: 80 days
AP: Processing time of: 30-60 days
10-Sep-03 VSC transferred all 3 apps to the Baltimore.

My Maryland Time frame.

AOS & EAD applications May 8th 2003
NOA May 23rd 2003
Appointment for EAD received end of June, unable to attend
Fingerprint request June 13th 2003
New appointment received 07/11/03
EAD appontment July 21st 2003 Fingerprinted same day.
AOS appointment letter received July 18th 2003 for appointment November 4th 2003

my AOS and EAD timeline in Maryland

application sent on July 10th 03
NOA#1 July 25th
NOA#2(notice of transfer):Aug 7th
fingerprinting letter:Aug 20th
EAD interview:Sep 3rd (but on the EAD card,it said the card was issued
on Aug 25th)

Now I am transferring my file to Norfolk but since the interview of my
EAD in B-more,i havent heard anything from INS yet.....

If someone had experience of transferring their files from
Maryland,please give me some advice!

Koala... do you think because of the transfer to Norfolk... is that why you haven't received the AOS Interview yet?

11-Aug-03 Mailed AOS, EAD to VSC

12-Aug-03 VSC Received package


26-Aug-03 Received both NOAs

AOS: Processing time of: 365-540 days

EAD: Processing time of: 80 days



02-Sep-03 VSC transferred all 3 apps to the Baltimore.


12-Sep-03 Received Fingerprint notice

16-Sep-03 Went to Glenmont ASC in Wheaton for fingerprinting


Currently Awaiting EAD appointment letter

Sounds like you're a couple of weeks before me...

Did you have to go to a specific ASC or do they give you a list of the ones in your state and you can go to any of them? As opposed to going to Baltimore and finding parking etc... I could go to Wheaton... how's that place?

In our case, they said we could go to any ASC and we chose Baltimore to do the FP at the same time as the EAD.

Did it just happen that the FP date and the EAD date were the same?? Can we request to go to Fallon on the same day and get both done?

Yep, that's what we did. We got the appointment letters for the FP and the EAD so close to each other (the FP letter did not specify a date) that we decided to save a trip and do both at Baltimore. We were out of there by lunchtime.

I hope I'm just as lucky then... Thanks for sharing your experience... I'm still probably a good # of weeks out for AOS, EAD and AP... Based on the timelines I've collected... I "should" be receiving something about FP next week... and then hopefully EAD by early October... but AOS won't happen until at earliest February... and I'm going on yours since it took about 22 weeks from filing to AOS interview...

the fp letter gives you 180 days to get fp done. it also gives you 3
asc's to choose from, baltimore, wheaton and salisbury. a few people
just get fp done when the go to baltimore for their ead however i
choose to take care of fingerprints becasue i was in the vicinity of
wheaton that day. im really glad i did as i was in and out of the
place in literally 20 minutes. no wait at all, very clean facility,
and friendly employees. best experience of this long process so far.

Thanx for sharing... Now I'll just have to wait for the letters for EAD and FP... I live in Columbia... so I think it's about the same distance to both places... but if Wheaton will have less lines... maybe I'll do that...

Does anyone have experience with receiving AP from Baltimore? Seems that not many people have applied for it...
