Default AOS for K1

I filed the AOS paperwork for my wife in the first week in June. We sent it
signature required, and it has been received. But we have not as of yet
received confirmation back. I used checks associated with my credit card,
and I have not seen the charges hit yet.

Should I be worrying?

Nope. They haven't cashed our checks either. Apparently it's not uncommon for them to hold the checks a while with AOS.

Cheers,

Nope, you shouldn't be worrying yet. I sent my husband's AOS
paperwork to the VSC (we're in the Baltimore district) the third week
of November (2002) and I didn't get the canceled check back until the
first week of January.
If you get your cancelled check (or can view it online), BCIS stamps
an EAC # on the back. You can use this to view your case status
online.

Good Luck!

Hi Robin,

I will be filing AOS from K1 early next month... In my readings on the various boards, there seems to be many inconsistencies as to which forms need to be sent etc... can you give me a quick run-down as to what you submitted to VSC? I am filing from MD as well.

Thanks.

I guess I did have reason to worry. The entire package came back in the mail
this afternoon.

Reason - we included a $50 fingerprint filing fee for my K-1 spouse. The
entire package, for my spouse and son, was rejected.

Oh well ....
