AOS Interview - Questions on 'Alien Registration Card' and Evidence

We received our AOS interview notice yesterday - the interview is only 6
1/2 months after filing and we expeted it to t be a year.... (Seattle
office)
Anyway the notice mentions an 'Alien Registration Card'. What is that?
Is that the card some aliens from 'certain countries' have because they
needed to get 'registered'? We have all of our other INS documents
(Visa, entry permit, Advance Parole, petition NOA-2, etc...).
The letter also mentions evidence of 'commingling of fiances' such as
rent recepts, bank statements, bills, and Apartment lease or Home
Mortgate. Now we have placed most of our bills in both of our names,
and we share a joint checking account, my car insurance is in both of
our names and I have her on my medical insurance and as beneficiary of
my life insurances.
But the mortgage is still in my name (I have not changed the name -- not
sure how or if I can).
Oh and my wife will be about 5 months pregnant at the time of the interview.
Would this (not having her name on the mortgage) present a problem?

Hi Greg -
The "Alien Registration Card" is the greencard. I don't know why they
tell you to bring this since you are doing AOS and she doesn't have one
yet. I presume this is some form letter that still includes that info
although why it does I have no clue.
I think your evidence sounds like enough, especially as she is pregnant.
Not having her name on the mortgage is understandable, especially if
she married you or move to the US after you purchased the home. I think
you may be able to add it, though, if you call the mortgage company. If
you are really worried about it, that may be your best bet, although I
really don't think you need it. Good luck! Kristin

Yup, don't worry about this. Take everything you got - you didn't mention
EAD but if you have one, take that.

That's good evidence if she's showing. Seriously, if you've had a sonogram,
take a copy of that. At our interview we had the "improved" version of that
evidence - our 9 month old daughter - and that just smoothed things right
along.
> Would this (not having her name on the mortgage) present a problem?
Nope. It's one of those things: If you have it, great, if not, so what? A
lot of banks won't let you add someone to the existing mortgage without
refinancing.
Andy.

As a bit of advice which you won't listen to: relax a bit. [I know it is not possible, but at least try --

The "alien registration card" is either the I-94 or the green card itself. You have the I-94, but no green card. Note that the list is a pre-printed generic list.
Your documentation sounds fine. IMHO, there is no need to put her on the mortgage. If you want to put her on the title to the house, that is fine, but is NOT necessary [In most states it is easier to place new spouse on title and there is no need to mess with the loan security documentation]. Also, a lot of people never place new spouse on title. [This creates some interesting issues in California with its "community property" but that is way beyond the scope of this posting].
On the pregnancy -- I recommend to my clients that they bring in a letter from the Ob/Gyn verifying this fact.
Good luck. You will probably be fine. The worst thing that could happen is that the BCIS will ask for more information. [Assuming there are no skeletons in the closet that would lead to her arrest -- I've had that happen only once in 28 years at this].
