AOS interview at Phoenix AZ INS.
Hello all,
We have finally received our AOS interview appointment.
Wife came to US on K3 visa.
We are gathered the following doc's so far.
- Birth Certificate of my son (my name and her as parents).
- Bank Statements (past 3 months)
- Mortgage Deed with both our names.
- Life Ins policy with her name listed a beneficiary.
- Health Ins cards.
- Bills that we received in our names
- Married/Jointly filed tax returns from last 3 years.
- Pay stubs (her and mine) from last 3 months.
- Letters from employers
- Photo album with our pics. Including the baby.
Anything else that I am missing?
Also one more thing. She has to get medical exam done again.
She is currently breastfeed's my son. Would there be any problems
if she gets shots. We are planning on asking the doc this before
the examination.
Thanks in advance.
bc.

I'm confused...are you the wife of the Original Poster, Bc? You've had the conditions removed last month already, but Bc's wife is just now coming up on her AOS interview....hmmm.
In any case, I take it your timeline is for Phoenix, though, right? Wow...3 yrs 7 months wait from filing to interview. Wow.

Re: AOS interview at Phoenix AZ INS.
I did my AOS in Phoenix. Here's my timeline:
Entered on a K1 in December 99
Interview date was July 2002.
Our interviewer actually told us that our file had gone through
exceptionally fast as compared to what she had seen lately. She said
because I came in on a K1 that it's a bit quicker than other people
because they appreciate that you go through the legal means and will
expedite your application when they can.
Hope this helps!

Re: AOS interview at Phoenix AZ INS.
Hi,
My timeline is as follows:
We got married in India. My wife came to US on June 25, 2002 on K3
visa.
We received the I-130 approved letter few days after she arrived here.
Applied for AOS and EAD on July 9, 2002.
EAD received the same day (valid for 1 year).
Finger printing was done the same day.
Re-newed the EAD card in March of 2003
Re-newed the EAD card in March of 2004
Got FBI fingerprinting appointment on June 2, 2004.
AOS appt July 28, 2004
So about it was about 2 years waiting period.
When we applied back in July of 2002, INS officer told use waiting
period was between 24 - 28 months.
I guess they were right.
Good Luck.

Bc - I see you got your EAD and fingerprinting the same day? Was Phoenix doing walk-ins back then? Because now everything is by mail only, and we will have the several months wait for the EAD. Just curious.
Thanks,

Re: AOS interview at Phoenix AZ INS.
Hi Katie,
Can you post what they asked and documents you gave for the AOS interview.
My wife entered with K3 visa. K3 is like K1 except K3 is for married spouses.
We did everything legally.
Thanks
