Up to two months ago Louisville was still quoting 30 months till an interview date.
When we went down in March they told us two things. First that they now have two
people doing interviews instead of one (no kidding this would speed things up).
Secondly they asked if I had my fingerprints done. We told them I didn't, that we
were waiting to get a notice from them. So the person there explained that currently
we are in Drawer #24 and that if I get my fingerprints done that day, or when I came
back to have my EAD card done I would move up to Drawer #6. Of course this sounded
great so he gave us the paper we needed and I had them done on April 14th or 16th
when I went back to get my card made.

Today we get a letter from the Louisville INS saying our AOS interview date is
June 14th (one week notice). Which doesn't give us a whole lot of time to get
things together. Of course we knew things would be speeding up with the recent
developments but since Ian and Sheila just had theirs after 32 months we figured
we might get a date around maybe December or February
02. We filed in April of last year so that means they've cut down the 30 months to 14
months at least in our situation.

So if you're waiting for an interview date and haven't gotten your fingerprints
done yet, maybe it'd be worthwhile to look into it. That's the one thing I love
about going to Louisville in person to file things, we get a lot of valuable
information from them.
