Greetings all,
Has anybody of the fellow AOS-ers in Phoenix gone to the INS office
to inquire about the status of their application recently? If yes,
what were you told?
I am thinking of doing that myself, but due to my occupation I can
hardly find the time to do so, so I was wondering if anyone would be
so kind to share their experience.
My timeline:
Arrived to the US May '00, got married the same month,
Applied for AOS August'00,
Got fingerprinted February '02
Haven't heard anything from the INS ever since.
Thank you in advance.

Arizona is one of the slower offices. I guess they have a lot of Mexicans
coming over there.....

Tucson:
Arrival July 2000.
Got fingerprinted twice in between.
Married and applied for AOS September 2000.
Succesfull interview July 2002, with thumb print.
Nothing since then, not even a stamp.............
Treje is right: what they told me a year ago: all the money
is going to Border Patrol. Sitting in the INS office is
therefore a hell, with just one person working behind 8
windows..........though Phoenix is even worse I heard.

I am also in Phoenix. We married and applied for AOS in March 2001.
Next week I will send an application for my 3rd EAD. If you call INS
at 1-800-375-5283 and listen to the Phoenix office message, you will
here that they speak about 29 months for AOS process. It is much
shorter, than the 40 months, which they promissed before. I suggest,
our interview should occur sometime in August this year.
Good luck.

We are at month 27 and still waiting to hear from phoenix about AOS interview. Have my fingerprints done twice now, once in november 2000 after filing AOS 3 oct 2000. The next time was in march of 2002. Last time I was in the office oct 2002 for my EAD it was still 40 months.
At present we are just waiting till we get word.
