Default AOS conffusion in CT, anyone

Hi all !

I have a question for someone who recently did AOS from k1 in Connecticut. We want to do it at the Boston office (because they are fast or so people say) but the forms INS sent me come with a letter with info about the Harfort office which makes us think they expect me to do it from Hartford :-(

We also know I do not need a medical because mine was just a few months ago for k1 but they say on the letter that Hartford requires a vaccination supplement (or something like that). What are they talking about ?

What is your experience ?

Happy Holydays and the best for the new year !

Hi:

Hartford has jurisdiction over Connecticut -- if thats where you live -- that's where you file.

I'm not familiar with their form letter, but most of these letters cover all types of applications -- you can tell them that you don't need the medical -- but if they ask, you may want to just say "why fight City Hall?"

I had the same problem as you. I live in Tulsa, OK. All of Oklahoma is
served by the Oklahoma City sub office which is a sub office of the Dallas,
Texas district office. At that time, Dallas was doing the same day AOS for
walk-in K1'ers. This would have saved me the money for my EAD and AP as
well as the time I had to wait for Oklahoma City. I could not file in
Dallas, but had to file in Oklahoma City. I was fortunate enough that
Oklahoma City is a fast office as well. It only took me 6 months to get my
green card.

You will have to file in Hartford
