Default AOS Approved !

Just thought you'd all like to know my AOS interview was last Wednesday and we were approved.

I'm now a Permanent Resident ! W00t!

It was very easy actually, he didn't ask us any questions apart from specifics about my personal data.. DOB, Parents Names etc etc, he was basically just checking the info he had on file was correct.

Looked at my Passport, EAD, Social, my wifes Employment evidence and that was it... all in all about 10 minutes !

I'm a little annoyed that he destroyed my EAD card, would have been nice to keep that as a momento but alas no... got a stamp in my passport with my Green Card number and was told I should get my card in 4 weeks... I doubt that will happen but I'm hoping to get it before mid December as we're off home for Xmas.. anyone had any experience of traveling on Green Card Passport Stamp without actual card ?

Congrats

And as Ray said, you'd be sorted with that stamp if you don't get your card...but you'll probably get it in time

You won't have any problems with the border guys--they know what to look for. You may have a slight problem with airline check-in overseas, as sometimes during the holidays it seems they have a few more junior staff who aren't trained to know that a stamp = an actual green card, but that is rare and easily corrected by a supervisor if need be.
