AOS approval - Washington DC
Hello,
My wife had her interview scheduled today, at 1:30 p.m. We arrived at 12:50 and had to wait about 1 hour and 15 minutes until they called her name. The officer quickly went through the I-485 with my wife, and asked me to confirm a couple of questions from the I-130. Then he asked us for our taxes from the past 3 years, my letter of employment and paystubs. After he went through those, he asked for bank statements and deed of house (if we had any, which we did). And finally, he asked to see the birth certificate of our baby. That was it, no pictures, no bills, nothing else. He didn't even ask us anything (how you met, etc.) He then stamped my wife's passport (was making some mistakes, which he wrote over). At that point, the interview was over: it took us around 15 minutes. One thing that got me a little worried was when he asked for my wife's medical exam (sealed envelope). I told him that we included it in our initial paperwork and he then looked over all of our paperwork, and found them. :) Well, it's been more than 2 years since we applied to adjust the status of my wife. You guys have been great and I want to thank you all for all your help. Especially Brenda and Rene (who was always ready to answer any questions that I had. Thank you Rene!). Alex |
Re: AOS approval - Washington DC
Congratulation!!!
Now she is completely done with immigration until citizenship, good news. You said they stamped her passport, I thought they don’t do that anymore, but I guess they do. :) |

Hi Alex! You're Welcome, and Congratulations! Hooray! :D
business+ - My husband got his I-551 stamp in Phoenix at his AOS interview, but we had to ask for it. Best Wishes, Rene |
