As far as I know if your I-485 has not been approved yet it will not be approved until October 2007. We filed in February and presume we will have to wait until October.

Are you asking about AOS without interview at the CSC or AOS in general? We filed ours April 4 and were approved w/interview end of June. But that was in TX and other places take significantly longer.

What kind of visa are you adjusting from?

We filed, based on an EB2 approved I140, in March and got a receipt date in March for the i485. Fingerprints, EAD and Advance Parole in April but nothing since.

We haven't heard anything and all we can do is hope, but I have no idea what the bulletin means to people who applied well before July. Though the pessimist tells me it'll be October before it's even worth checking the status of the applications.

Anyone have any ideas?

What the brouhaha means:

a)If you were planning to file in July: no can do. If you still sent it in,
they'll return it.
b)If you are already in line, (as you are), the application will wait at
BCIS offices till October, since they don't have new visa numbers to give
you.

Last I heard, only I485s with receipt dates in this January were being
granted in June. These should have routinely been processed in late August,
got advanced due to the "Drive".

However, this delay doesnt matter to you at all, excepting having the final
card. If something drastic happens with your employer/employment situation--
e.g. Enron, AA , then, some chance that you might have to fight your way
through. Otherwise, this is little more than a flight delay to you.

HTH.

Actually, if for some strange reason your 485 takes a lot of time to
process, after they picked it up for processing, thereby appropriating a
visa number, you could still theoretically get an approval well after this
week...
