anyone file AOS by mail
what was your experience with that. we filed by mail, took them 2 weeks to cash the money orders and no word back yet.

We are filing our AOS by mail the first of next week. I'll let you know when we hear something.

We filed 2 months ago in Miami. After 2 weeks they sent us all recepits and one appointment letter for fingerprints.
We visited them last week, as we were hoping to get some information regarding other appointments (AED and AOS), but we were told to wait until we get them in the mail. No news since then.

We filed by mail at the Kansas City local office. They cashed our money orders and sent us reciepts, but so far its been a month and a half and we not heard anything.
I think it depends on where you're filing how soon you hear back.
Can anyone tell me if you have to be fingerprinted before you get the EAD? The timeline claims just 90 days for issuance, but we've not heard anything about anything from them since filing.

the immigration officer i spoke to said i wouldnt be getting a receipt for the money i paid, unless i filed for the ead also. then they would send an ead letter. but no receipts doesnt sound right.
yes i think they do fingerprint ya for the EAD
