Just want to let everyone know, I've finally received my EAD card in the mail today. My notice date is April 16. I put in a couple inquiries back in Oct and Nov, and heard nothing back. I finally contacted my local representative and within two weeks, they issued me the card! I am so happy. Now I hope they will hurry up to give me the interview notice.

My NOA is dated Nov. 29 and I got a biometrics appointment for January 7 (that was the earliest possible).

my EAD was approved one day before the 9th month. NOA for I-765 is march 15 approval date is 14th december. What is funny is that i went down to detroit INS Office to get a 3rd interim and they gave it to me. My question is the card i will be sent will be valid for 3 month like the interim ead right? which one should i use?
i am going to send a renewal these days!

i dont think you need to apply for another one. the card you will be receiving will be valid for 1 year - i guess..

I haven't actually been on here in months, mostly over on VJ, but I thought I'd throw you another interesting one..

K3, sent to MSC, NOA1 date of October 12/04 and approved on December 17/04.

Don't ask me how that one happened... I'm certainly not complaining, though.

Congrats! No dont worry about it expiring in March. It will be for 1 year...but I do suggest that if you haven't had your interview in 6 months, apply for a renewal 6 months in advance.

Ok here's my timeline:

2004

11/19 . Applied to renew EAD
11/29 . EAD NOA

2005

1/7 . Biometrics for EAD
2/8 . EAD arrives in the mail

Applied on-line for renewal EAD on 16 Dec 2004
Got receipt in the mail following day!
Biometrics on 25 January 2005
Got email 1 March 2005 that my EAD had been approved and would be mailed to me as soon as the new card was ready

I got my renewal AP in 5 weeks after applying on-line. I have to say that I like this new system. Very efficient indeed.
