any info...
I am about to start the process to get my fiancee's visa. I really have no
idea where to start. A little about me:
I've been separated from my soon-to-be-ex-wife for three years. I never
really worried about the divorce, because I'd given up on the idea of a
relationship. Then, a year ago, I was in South America on business and met
an incredible woman. I made several trips where I stayed for about 2-3
months at a time. Over that time together we fell in love. We made plans
to marry there when my divorce was finalized and then start the process to
bring her to the States as my wife. We felt no rush as I was often
travelling back and forth. Well, to make a long story short, my job took me
to Washington DC and made it impossible for me to travel for at least a
year. I've not been more than three months away from my fiancee since we
met, and the separation is killing me. I'm waiting for my divorce to
finalize right now and will immediately start the visa process as soon as
the divorce is done.
Now, that I've bored you all with my story, what do I need to start getting
ready to make the process smoother/quicker? Is there anything that I have
to do other than fill out the INS forms available on their website? What
does she need to start gathering? The postal system where she lives is
almost non-existent. Everything that I send her, we do via email or through
DHL or FEDEX. Will this cause a problem?
Anything that you guys know would be helpful. Thank you.

Re: any info...
Thank you for the link, but I am not on an unlimitted budget and would
prefer information on how to do this myself instead of paying a law firm
$2000+. Being with the one I love is, of course, worth any amount of money,
but I just don't have that much disposable income.
