Just Wandering is there any recent (2008) Approvals of I-751 from VSC, as CSC is approving a lot in 2008

Haven't heard anything from this and other forum...CSC is rockin'...I sent my application to TSC and got transferred to VSC...same others in my same timing (mid Dec) and we only have received the first NOA, no biometrics yet. And looking that CSC approves in 4-5 months is just amazing why others cannot keep the same track, I don't know if California receives more budget or what! Just thinking that people that applied WAY after me, will get done with this....grrrrr.

I have seen one July approval, so we can guess that they are currently processing July but boy they are slow. Mine is september and i am hoping to get approve sometime in Early March. But i hope everybody will post their timeline and approvals so that we can track

Since we have only had 16 days to date for the month of January which is the first month of the new year of 2008, I'm curious what and where you got the numbers to claim that CSC is approving a lot and what constitutes in your mind a lot.

I'm also still waiting.
Timeline in my signature.
VSC certainly appears to be lagging!

According to the USCIS website (https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/Pro...viceCenter=VSC), they are processing applications filed around March 1, 2007. I'm curious to hear from people who have applied at the VSC after Marc 2007 and have already been approved.

Hope your right about the CSC, filed mine in Sept, got the biometrics done in November for the I-751!
I have noticed though that the CSC does tend to move a litle faster than most others, I chat to a few expats over on the East coast and they're all bogged down in the system for some reason.

Yes, I got my approval notice today via email, saying that "Card production has been ordered". My case was at the California Service Center. Currently it says that they are done processing applications with receipt notices until August 19th 2008. I guess they are doing them faster than that. Anyway here is my time line

Mailed I-751 joint petition the Texas service Center---September 3rd 2007
Certified mail received at TSC------------------------September 5th 2007
Receipt notice extending card for 1 year--------------September 24th 2007
Request for biometrics-------------------------------October 8th 2007
Old Green Card Expires-------------------------------December5th, 2007
Approval Notice------------------------------------- February 29th, 2008

Total time taken from until receipt notice 5 months and days.

Documents mailed
Form with signatures of USC Spouse and Self
Insurance Cards showing Spouse as covered
Joint Insurance Policy
Joint tax returns since becoming PR
Spouse as beneficiary on retirement accounts
Joint bank statements
Joint checking account
Family pictures across 2 years
Joint lease agreement

Next step Citizenship. I can apply 90 days before my third anniversary as a PR.

Oh dear! You realize, I hope, that you were *not* eligible to file the I-751 until September 6. Consider yourself very lucky that someone wasn't as awake as they should have been.

Maybe this bit was close enough:

Certified mail received at TSC------------------------September 5th 2007
Old Green Card Expires-------------------------------December 5th, 2007

I'll bet, though, that if he'd filed when the fees were cheaper, it would've gotten kicked back.

I guess 24 hrs is no hassle if there is such a law as you suggest. I am pretty sure they did not get to my actual application much later than that. The bottom line is what ever way you look at this, I got approved.

There have been applications kicked back for less than what you did. That's the point we're making.

It's on the application form... I'm not making this up. "If you are filing this petition jointly with your spouse, you must file it during the 90 days immediately before the second anniversary of the date you were accorded conditional resident status."

It's not when they "got to it". At the time you sent off your application form, you were ineligible to file for the benefit. It might come back to bite you on the arse.

You got lucky!
