Default Another Boston Interview Date

I just got my notice for AOS interview (based on K1) for Boston on 23rd May. That's just one day short of it being exactly a year since filing.

I'm a citizen of many places, just not America. At least not yet. Mind you, if they let Spiffy in, they'll let anyone in so there's hope for me yet.

Hey now. Just wait a minute. They let Patrick and Andrea adjust - even that Mr Pink character. There are a lot worse LPRs walking around. The real test will be if Hyper cow gets a green card. Then, we'll know they'll let anyone in....

CONGRATS SIBS!!!

Congrats sibsie! Hope it goes great and you leave with the precious stamp. I'm hoping for an interview date soon! Did you follow your online status at all? If so, was your case "touched" recently? Just idle curiousity.

It was "touched" on the 11th but that's probably because I just did a change of address with them. Other than that, there wasn't a whole lot of touching going on.

Thanks peeps, and Hyper, I don't think you'll ever be old.

Congratulations Sibsie! This is great news - I was starting to worry things had gotten quiet Boston-wise after that burst of interview notices we just had. But it's nice to know that the wheels are still turning. Best of luck getting ready for the interview and for the big day!

I wouldn't say I dislike cats, in fact I'm on first name terms with a couple
of locals ;) - but I admit the names I call some of the felines that find my
seed-beds a suitable "Comfort-Stop" certainly don't fall into that category.

A neighbour of mine has a love-hate relationship with cats - they love to
use his seed-beds for a latrine, and he just hates them. He stores supplies
of what he calls, when he's being polite, "Go-cat", this is not the
cat-food, but lumps of earth which he hurls at the offending moggies. It's
important not to throw stones, because cats have this supernatural ability
to divert a stone to a nearby pane of glass, usually your neighbour's
picture window, or your Greenhouse.

Although they appear stupid when you want them to do something they don't
want to do, cats are really quite bright, I know someone with a guide dog,
and the neighbours cat sits by the garden path when the dog comes out with
harness on, but suddenly remembers an urgent need to go home when the dog
appears on a free run.

Not that a cat would ever run away from such an inferior animal as a dog,
but they do like to demonstrate their superior speed and agility. Sitting on
a fence looking down at a silly, yapping dog is also a bonus, Sometimes a
cat decides it can't be bothered to move, and the usual result is a dog
turning away with a deeply scratched nose.

Cats must also take the blame for their part in the reduction of the bird
population, They like us to feed birds, because, as well as reducing their
take-off speed, there's a bit of meat available when they get the feathers
off. If the cat wears a collar with a bell, the birds have a bit of warning,
but, I don't think my neighbours suggestion that the bell should weigh at
least twenty pounds will get much support.

Apart from polluting gardens, killing birds, torturing mice and a few trips
up garden paths at night to switch on security lighting, they seem to spend
most of the remaining time sleeping, so I would have thought we didn't need
quite so many of them. Possibly the blame lies with the ancient Egyptians.
Cats conned them into thinking that they were superior kinds of animal life,
and were deified as a result. What my neighbour would like to do with them
sounds mighty similar, but is really very different.

Alfie..

Hey Sibs,
Nice going girl!
I'm kinda thinking, that seeing as you and me K1-ed it at roughly the same time and we both go through VSC, if I'll be getting anything soon. I kinda hope not, I can't be arsed with all that paperwork again just yet. I've had enough immigration-related nail-biting moments to last me a lifetime. Do you feel relieved though? I can't wait to hear how you go on, I'll be thinking of you. I think I'm going to go and check my online status....!
