My INS letter says I should bring 3 affidavits from people who have knowledge of my
marital status. What should these affidavits say? Are there any examples I could
look at? Also, how far in advance can they be predated? My interview is in
January... can I have these affidavits done now or is that too soon for a date?
Also, should they be notarized?

I believe it does say to have them notarized. I don't think they give you an actual
time limit, just as long as it is someone who can state they have spent some time
with you both as a married couple, believe you love each other and the marriage to
be legit, etc., that kind of thing. We actually ended up with only 2 and weren't even
asked for them. Of course, best to have the 3 just in case they do ask for them!
