Is it really necessary to provide a history of all my bank deposits for a year with
the AOS? I have a letter from my bank stating when the account was opened and the
current balance. Also...do I need to provide copies to prove my retirement plan, life
insurance and mortgage? Going through the Stockholm Embassy... Thanks

IF you qualify for sponsorship based on income alone, you don't need to provide any
asset information, including bank info. If you do want to include bank info, two
things that are easier:
1.If you have your monthly statements for the past year, just photocopy them and
include them, they will show balances and deposits for sure.
2. If you don't have the monthly statements, see if the bank can do a 'computer
printout' of your account, which will give a lot of info that might be just as
good. (that's what we did, then I had the bank officer sign the printout and
staple his card to it). Alvena

Hello Kate
My bank wasnt able to give me actual balances for each month of the past year as
those figures only stay in their system for so long. We also had our bank write us a
letter stating when the account was open and the current balance and the total
deposits of the previous month. We got an approval with no problems. You dont need to
show proof of assests if your income meets the requirements but I sent the bank
information just to be on the safe side.
