I'm wanting to know what their process will be. What I need to do
before I'm allowed to marry over there. Here is the timeframe
June 2004 - Another visit. Start making plans if possible.
November or December 2004 - Visit.
June 2005 - Marry there. Return home together.
Between June and November I can get with someone I know about a
Spousal visa. I personally know an immigration lawyer. What I don't
know is what I need to do while visiting.

My fiance is from Peru as well. I don't know the answers to all of your questions as we are going the K-1 route and will marry here in the US. One thing I do know is that you will not be able to just marry over there and then "return" home together right away. If you marry there, you will have to return (by yourself) to the US and file for a K-3 visa, so it will be some time before she can come over. And unfortunately, Peru does not do DCF (Direct Consular Filing).
I also know that you have to marry "2 times" there, once at the courthouse and another in the church. I don't have any idea of the paperwork needed though.
Good Luck,
Angela

Eric, you can marry her THERE but they will NOT allow her to come here
afterwards, they will send her back to Peru right when you get off the
plane.*
Go the Fiance visa route or marry in the states and AOS. I'm trying to
save BOTH of you heartache when you arrive at the POE.

According to http://www.kamya.com/interview/intro.html it is possible
to do DCF in Peru. However, the person who wrote the only Peru
experience documented there strongly recommends not going this route.

I'm 25. One of our clients is an Immigration office. I've known the
main lawyer there for about 5 years.

Would you recommend getting married in November if that is the case?
Or just not bother and set everything up for over here? The main
reason I wanted to get married there is because of how backwards our
law system is. I would rather do it under their laws.

Eric,
When and where you decide to get married is entirely up to you, however, no matter what you decide to do, you still have to go through the proper procedures for immigration to get her over here. If you decide to marry in November, then return to the US (alone) and apply for K-3 visa, it's possible (note "possible" not assured) she can be over here by June/July 2005 timeframe.
PS. Peru's laws aren't exactly that great either![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I just read that guys comment. He says the actually part about
getting married over there is easy. What about getting a fiance visa
here and getting married there? And if need be just a court marriage
here?
