Default Advanced Parole Problem

In August, 2005 my husband ( He is a US Citizan) and I got married and
I applied for the green card based on our marriage. In November, I
applied for Advance Parole and it got approved on Jan. 18, 2006 and I
received the Authorization for Parole today but the date on the form is
wrong and instead of 1/18/2006 it is issued on 1/18/2005 and it shows
that it is expired on 1/17/2006. I called them and they told me I
should send the ORIGINAL forms (that I received today) and new I-131
with a letter to speed up the process.

I am really desperate because we had already plan to leave US and I can
not wait 2-3 more months. What should I do exactly? What should I
write? I am scared to send the ORIGINAL authorization forms. They are 2
original copies. Should I keep one and send the other to them? To what
address should I resubmit my I-131?

Thanks so much for your help.

My advice would be to sent both copies back to the same address you sent
the application with a letter. I would not send a new I-131. Maybe, just
maybe, they will correct the dates and mail it back to you in a short time.
I hope that works, or that someone that knows more than me will reply to
your message.
Good luck.

You might try making an Infopass apointment and take the incorrect APs and
explain what happened. Maybe they can correct it right there or issue you a
new one. I don't think they usually issue APs at the local offices these
days. But they might in your case since it was their mistake.

Good luck.

I agree with Eric. Try an Infopass appointment first. If that doesn't work, then mail both originals back as requested, with a new application. Always keep copies of everything for your own records.

You can leave the US any time you want.
