Ok, Friends,
My long awaited citizenship is over today. It took about 8 months from
the date i applied N-400. About 1100 people were sworn this morning in
masonic centre of san francisco.
However, my long awaited question is still in my mind. I did consult
lawyers and posted some queries on this topic before. I just wanted to
try again to hear your comments based on experience.
My wife and i were married two years ago. She had a multiple entry
visitor visa before we got married. She visited usa once before our
marriage for 3 months and once after marriage for 6 months. Now again,
she is on her 3rd visit to this country (2nd after marriage). She is
given a permission to stay till mid october.
Now that i am a citizen, should we just go ahead with the option of
I-130/N-485 or is it better for her to go back home and return with a
K3 visa?
What are the timelines thesedays for the completing adjustment of
status as well as getting a k-3 visa?
Thanks
Manava

Tricky decision. It depends on a number of factors. If she does not need
to return to her home country for the next couple of years, then I think
the I-130/I-485 should be OK.
Of course, the K-3 route is always safe, just less convenient.
