Memories, this thread was started a while back from my good old buddy karen. We were the unfortunate souls who had to go through the administrative hell from the mumbai consulate. We are basking in glory cause we have our husbands with us now.

Makkabokka you will do fine. From recent postings, no one has been delayed for their visa. I think the rude consular was transferred.

Just arm yourself with many documents and especially show if possible parental support. They love this, even if you are "old".

Dude or Dudette !

You may NEVER get an interview letter.. the folks at the US consulate
are NOT consistent about sending out packet 3 or 4.. as I mentioned to
you privately by email, read my post regarding the procedures and TIPS
for mumbai.. You have to get your butt in line at 6 AM, go to the info
desk at around 9 AM and get the packet 3, fill it up, return it, and
then again, a month later, go back and ask for Packet 4 (the interview
appointment letter)...
