Adjustment of Status Interview
So we had our interview last week in Orlando. All went well, the facilities were very modern and nice, ample parking. The lady conducting the interview was as miserable as sin, we gave her everything our attorney had told us, and she wasn't interested in it. She did give us an answer, but less then 2 hours later, having checked online we had been approved.
So I today received my permanent residents card. Will we receive all the bills and photos and other paperwork that the interviewer took? Or do they keep it?
We used an immigration attorney and it was well worth the money. They helped us whenever we required assurance and were always only a phonecall/ email away. It has taken 5 months from USCIS receiving the AOS to getting issued with the card and took march-June to get my work authorisation (seemed a lot longer with not being able to work)

Anything you gave the officer will go into your file and kept by USCIS. Congrats on your new LPR status

Congrats.
They won't return the things you submitted. Your attorney probably told you to provide copies and bring originals, right?

Usually you hand over photocopies of evidence, which the officer keeps in your file. If you handed over originals, those will be kept in your file. You won't get them back.

Thanks, they may well of said take original and copies, they only took 5? Photos, so that's not really an issue, just the Duke Energy bill and monthly phone billes, which again isn't a problem just I'm a stickler for keeping hold of bills. Nothing really of any importance, was more of a query, thanks for the answers.

Even if you handed over originals at the interview, you will still have photocopies of everything at home, right? You must have made a photocopy for your own file at home, of everything you brought to the interview?

No we didn't take any photocopies. Of the bills, and any pictures they did take we can get reprinted.
