Hi,
I am a British citizen who has been in the US for 3 years on student visas. I am currently legally in the US and attending school on a M-1.
I am getting married in November to a US national and was after any advice from anyone who has been through a similar experience.
Any tid-bit will do to help make the whole process that little bit easier.
Thanks in advance,
Mat.

Well... you have definitely come to the right newsgroup. Welcome!
If you search the posts I'm sure you'll find tons of help.
I believe there is no obligation to go back to your country after finishing
your studies with an "M-1". Right?
Since you have been here for 3 years, I can safely say you didn't come here
with intent to marry anyone. Your case should be a pretty easy one.
Personally, I got married on a visa waiver after having been in the US on an
F-1 visa for 1 quarter and a J-1 visa for a year. I didn't have any
problems applying for AOS or my EAD or my AP. I suppose it should be the
same for you.
Anyway, congrats on your upcoming wedding!
