Default Able to change name while waiting on I485 to be approved?

Hi All

I cannot decide on what to do and whats best, so would like to hear from
you all. It might be alittle long post to briefly explain my situation
and so thanks for spending the time reading.

I am a Chinese from Singapore married to USC. I came here on a K1 Visa
last year and now I-485 is STILL in process, I have obtained my AP and
EAD. My name on AP and EAD is my chinese name with my maiden name as
thats the name on my Singapore ID and pasport. However, when I get the
I-485 approved, I wish to add Yvonne and my husband's last name in my
Greencard. Im going back to Singapore in December, so will it be a good
idea to add Yvonne and my husband's last name into my Singapore ID and
passport (since I can change it when Im back there) and then when I have
an appointment for the I-485 interview(sometime in the future hopefully
soon), I will show it to the officer and get the name changed on their
side before they give me the greencard. I called the 800 number of the
immigration, they told me if I want to do a name changed now, I need to
go to the courthouse and once apprvoed, submit the documents to USCIS
BUT my AP and EAD that I have now wont be vaild because the name will be
different. I do not want to do that now as I have planned for my trip to
Singapore in December.

SO, will it be better to get my name changed in Singapore when I go back
in December, after Im back to States, go to courthouse to change name
and submit the documents to USCIS. That means I pretty much have to
reapply for EAD and AP?? I hope I dont have to reapply for I-485?

OR, I get my name changed in Singapore when I go back in December. Once
I get the notice for interview, only then I go to the courthouse get the
name changed here and bring it to the officer so let him/her changed it
on their side? So the name in greencard will be changed and if I get the
greencard, EAD and AP dont matters anymore.

What do you all think??

Many thanks & Regards!
Yvonne
