6 months to make a decision?
after my AOS interview i had to send some more evidence the officer requested. I made an appointment at the local ins office and was told it would take up to 6 months to a decision? is that true

It could be true. It's hard to predict how long it will take them to review and decide. Could be a few weeks, could be many months. There's not way of knowing, sorry. :( Best Wishes, Rene |

It might depend on the issues that are involved and what it might take to resolve them. There's no value to either side by creating false expectations. If you don't hear anything further after 2-3 months you might want to make an InfoPass appointment to inquire about where things stand. [EDIT: Oh, I see from another post that you've done that. Excellent! The same thing happened to my wife - she went in this past Monday morning only to be told that her application had been approved the preceeding Friday. If I'd checked my e-mail over the weekend we'd have known that, although it would have been too late to cancel the appointment. Regards, JEff
