485 question: receipt and app. info.

485 question: receipt and app. info.
- My attorney didn't get a receipt (filed 7/01) from INS. Can I
travel only w/ my H-1 and the cancelled check w/ the LIN number. My
AP expired this month and in the process for renewal. Has anyone been
in the process of AOS and returned back w/ H-1 visa only?
- I called IIO last week and found out my first and middle name were
swapped in the application. I asked my attorney how to correct it,
but they said INS will correct the issue themselves. I just thought
this might have delayed my application approval already. Do you have
any suggestions or pointers for me to move this issue forward.

If you applied for advance parole, I believe your H-1 is invalid. Not sure
though. Ask your lawyer.
