Default ?45 fiance visa fee - do you have to pay this cost for children

I read I have to pay a £45 admin fee for my fiancé visa (on top of the
extortionate medical costs). I know i have to pay for my two children's medical
exam but do I need to pay additional amounts of £45 each for admin costs for
them - it's not clear on the literature I've read whether this cost is for each
person travelling on the visa or just for the main applicant - ie me. grateful
for any clarification.

cheers again!

Just curious

Hi Rete,

All the charges for the US embassy are in pounds stirling.

I'm hoping to be married in December but things aren't looking great at the
moment. The US embassy say they have all my papers on file and I just have to
wait for an interview date and ring and check every week. Every week I call the
line that charges me £1.50 a minute so they can tell me to keep waiting and,
no, they can't say how long. ngh.

Regards

the charge is in GBP because you pay the fee at a bank (Barclays) and not
direct to the US embassy

An interesting note: I lost (forgot to take with me) my payment stub and
form as my proof of payment for the 46 pounds that Id already paid at
Barclays. But the nice officer let me pay again at the London Consulate
itself (they do have a cashiers window). I actually paid with my debit
card, and it was taken in US dollars, which at the day's going rate worked
out as 46 pounds.
regards, Jacqueline
