Thanks for the update, Patrick. It's good to hear from you.

I know I get very frustrated with this whole process. There are so many things that seem flawed or don't make a darn bit of sense. I really feel bad for you. I hope you're wife gets through the NVC soon!!! I'll keep you in my prayers. Good luck.

Ouch...I hear ya. I finally got out of NSC hell. Now to NVC...and my
fiance is also in China.

It is kind of ironic how the places where terrorists rarely come from get
the longest looking at (because they are classified as "communist" or
"socialist"?). But many other places where terrorists come from tend to
walk thru this darned process in what seems like a matter of weeks (because
they are classified as "democracies or "allies"?).

I have taken 6 long months already...I hope I am not also stuck in NVC for a
long time. I would REALLY like to have her with me this year (yah right).
At least Guangzhou seems to be running 2 to 3 months to schedule
interviews...but we are rapidly approaching the big holiday season which
will probably screw with that again.

Needless to say...I think everyone in this process is very frustrated these
days.

We submitted packet 3. Right now we're just waiting for the interview. We're hoping we can find out in the next few days when her interivew is. Unfortuntely, it won't be before October though.

Hi Guys...

Got room for one more in the frustrated NVC group? With my fiance being Iranian, I'm also on the list of long NVC waits. I'm on Day 40 today. I was hoping he'd be here by the end of the year, too, but it certainly doesn't look like that will happen! Even after his interview, there's a mandatory 6-week wait which I've heard stretches into another 2 or 3 months. *** sigh ***

I'm just glad I have enough going on in my life right now to keep me really busy so I don't think about this wait too much.

I hope we all get processed as soon as possible, and good luck to everyone else waiting.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Hey Rene,
Is it for sure there is a 6 week wait?
Keyvan only had to wait 2 weeks and what he thought was the official
clearance from the DOS which he believed had been cleared from the
NVC. (They just waited for the state department to offically confirm
the clearance)
Whacha think?

Hi Tania
I still thought I read somewhere there was a mandatory waiting period after the interview for Iranians at Ankara. Maybe I was mistaken. I sure hope so! Would be nice not to have to wait for something for a change. :-)
