What da F is going on? My fiancee arrived here two weeks ago and still no sign of the social security - what da f is going on?

She arrived here two weeks ago but only applied for the SS# on July 10 ... 11 days ago. As Mike Young said to you in another post, if she is in the SAVE system, she will get a number quickly. If she is not, then it could takes weeks or months.
"F"ing the forum isn't going to help.

Hi All,
11 days is nothing. Have heard from people that applied in May and June
and haven't received a card. Now in those cases I suspect the card got lost
in the mail and they didn't know to follow up with the SSA that take their
application.
Hopefully, the G-845 verification will come back in a week or two. She can
still wait a few weeks and go back into the SSA to ask them to query SAVE
again and/or see if the G-845 came back. Be sure she takes all her
documents and be sure that she request that the SSA contact her once the SSN
has been assigned. That way you know the SSN before the card arrives or
doesn't arrive in the mail.

Exactly.
It took David three months to get his SSN because he wasn't in SAVE. 11 days is nothing.

From what I have been told from recent experiences it takes 3 to 5 weeks for
the card to be sent to you.

There are a number of threads on this board going back months that make clear that the OP went to the SS office way too early after his fiance's arrival, given the changes in the SSA's handling of verifications earlier this year. He went only 3 days after his fiance arrived, despite plenty of threads in the NG reporting that people who went too early often ended up getting caught in the G845A verification loop, and sometimes suffered months of delay.
It was his choice to continue being impatient (as I note he has been throughout this entire process, raising everyone's blood pressure at times with his panic) instead of waiting a couple of weeks after his fiancee's arrival. So now he has to wait anyway, but instead of a couple of weeks, it might be a couple of months.
There's a lesson in this for the OP. Let's see if he heeds it.
