Thought I would give a detail of how I set up our 129f package when I sent it to Nebraska (NSC). Hope this will help a newbie or three....
1. Downloaded forms from the BCIS website at the following address:
http://www.immigration.gov/graphics/formsfee/index.htm
Form I-129f Petition for Alien Fiance
Form G-325A Biographic Information Form
These are 'fillable' forms that can be filled in with Adobe Acrobat. A couple of the fields were too small, so those had to be filled in by hand after printing.
2. Completed the forms, making sure to use the word NONE instead of N/A where something didn't apply. Be sure to sign and date the forms.
3. Assembled our package as follows:
a. Completed I-129f
b. Continuation page for item 19 of the I-129f. This is a
statement of how we met which itemized the dates
(month/year) and locations and circumstances
where we met. We had met on 5 occasions between
August 1999 and April 2002. Even though the 1999 visits
were not within the 2 years prior to the petition, we listed
them. We also stated that our intent was to marry in
May of 2003. I (the petitioner) signed and dated this sheet.
c. Next, I inserted a 'cover sheet' that listed the type of
peititon (I-1294), the names of both the petitioner and
the beneficiary and then showed what was under the
cover sheet (the G-325A, Biographic information for the
petitioner.
d. Next comes four (4) copies of the completed G-325A for
the petitioner. Be sure to sign & date each of them.
e. Another 'cover sheet' as in c above, but was for the
G-325A, Biographic information for the beneficiary.
f. Four (4) copies of the G-325A for the beneficiary, signed
and dated.
h. Yet another cover sheet as above, but listing the next
items in the package. These were 4 items of evidence
in the order they appear in the package.
i. Photos of in person meetings. We submitted only 3
photos. All were taken on our 2001 meeting. Two of
these were taken with a digital camera an had the date
on the picture. All pictures were labeled on the back
with the names of the petitioner & beneficiary and the
date and location of the picture. These were place in
an unsealed envelope that was labeled as follows:
I-129f
(My name), Petitioner
(Her name), Beneficiary
Photos of meetings in August 2001
j. Next we included a similarly labeled envelop that
contained one (1) photo of our meeting in 1999 and a
copy of a travel agents receipt for an airline ticket
when I had flown to Canada in 1999. Again, these items
were labeled with a description.
k. Next was a copy of the newspaper announcement of
our engagement. Be sure to include the part of the
newspaper showing the name of the paper and the
date of publication.
l. Next came the other information required.
1) A COPY of our marriage license. I had obtained this
on the same date as the date of our I-129f.
2) A NOTARIZED letter from a friend who has met both of
us, stating her name, place of residence, a
statement of how long she had known each of us,
when and where she first met my fiance, and that
she had no doubt of our sincere plans to be married.
m. Yet another 'cover sheet'. This one was for what followed:
Supporting documentation.
n. My (petitioner's) birth certificate. Original and one
photocopy.
o. My divorce certificate (Original & one photocopy)
p. Her (beneficiary's) Divorce certificate. (Original & one
photocopy.
q. Statements of Intent (Both Parties). These statements
were worded as follows:
Mine:
"I, (my full name), provide the following statement as required by United States las or lawful regulation in connection with my application and petition for a visa for my fiance, (her full name), to enter the United States.
We have known each other for several years and have met in person on previous occasions. I intend to be legally married to my fiance in Kansas within 90 days of her admission to the United States."
Hers:
"I, (her full name), provide the following statement as required by United States las or lawful regulation in connection with my fiancee's application and petition for a visa for me to enter the United States.
We have known each other for several years and have met in person on previous occasions. I intend to be legally married to my fiance in Kansas within 90 days of her admission to the United States."
These statements were signed and dated.
With all of these items assembled, I used a two holed punch to punch them at the top center (being careful not to damage the pictures that were in the envelopes) and fastened the package together with an Acco brand fastener. Shame I had to buy a whole box of them only to use one! I paperclipped a Certified Check for the appropriate fee to the front of the package.
I made two complete copies of this package for our records and mailed the original package to NSC using the Post Office's overnight express. It's pretty easy to overlook little details, and I was extra careful to check and double check. I actually let the package set overnight and rechecked it a third time before sending it.
I know a lot of this is mundane history to many folks, but hopefully it will help someone. Bottom line? It's a battle of details with the bureaucrats. To win, one must cross all the t's, dot all the i's and jump through all the hoops - in just the right order! lol
Good luck to all who are just starting out!
Hope this helps.

P.S. Now I'm busy downloading all the forms needed for AOS! Gotta love the Government! NOT!

Wow good job....i didn't send originals of my birth certificate or my divorce decrees because on the instructions it said it only needed photocopies. I'm not as neat as you i put everything in order with one of those big black paper clip things...wish i would have at least put it in a folder....i had added instant messages, letters i wrote to him, pictures of our meeting, copies from both newspapers of our engagement announcements, his divorce decree, and a letter from a solicitor about his name change, and so much more and for the kicker i also sent my whole I-134 in with the I-129F to be sent to London.....with all the evidence from my employers, bank, title to my trailer and van and the registration for my van saying my license plate is ILVPAUL, Home insurance saying how much it's insured for,...my packet was about 3 inches thick with all the paperwork and proof....I sent it priority mail with delivery confirmation on it and it weighed 15.8 oz. hee hee...just made the flat rate...i hope i included everything the right way....I took 2 months at least to assemble it all....I also sent my fiance copies of the whole I-134 package so he can take it to the interview....i know i probably shouldn't have sent the I-134 but i just really wanted London to have it already and I've known other couples in the past who did it and at the interview were only asked like 3 questions because they already had the affidavit of support at the embassy....
That's my 2 cents worth on it!! Good job Sleuth...it's great that you posted this for everyone!!
Carey
p.s. you have a marriage certificate for the two of you? in michigan marriage certificates are only good for 30 days after you get one so i won't be getting one until he's here

11/12/2002: Mailed package to NSC
11/15/2002: 1st NOA
03/24/2002: Approved/2nd NOA in the mail.
