Default 129f filed, and first NOA received!

My god I can't believe it, i'm in the system.

We double, and triple checked all the forms with online references, and I went through all the great advice I recieved here. So lets i've got the fingers crossed all will go through alright!

No its time to prepare all my paperwork this end for London!

Our journey has begun!

Welcome, If I were you I would have this site stored in your browser on favorites because sometimes the waiting can really get to you.

Inaddition, there are alot of people here who have nothing but positive things to comment on in terms of this process. All the best and I hope your papers from sooner rather than later.

Hi! and Congratulations!!

Can I be curious and ask you what center you used and how long did it
take for you to receive NOA 1. I recently sent my I-129f application
on Sept. 10. I'm anxiously waiting for that number so that I can
check the status online.

Regards,
Doreen

Welcome to the club, James! The wait (hopefully not too long! ) begins! Luckily, you have marvellous London as a Consulate, so that part will be so easy!!! Keep us posted!

For those who have just applied,
Go to http://www.davehollis.com/ and click on to the K1 timeline, you can see others who have applied and what dates they received their NOA's and interviews. It's really a good site.
You can also post your info so others can see it.....

We filed at Vermont in May 19th (actually this is the date that they received the application). Notification of acceptance to my fiancee was in June and on 8th July I received Pack 3 from the US Embassy in London. There are forms to send right away and then you notify the Embassy that you've collected all the stuff that they require - the longest being the Police Certificate (usually) - but mine was the MOC which I got on 4th August, I think. I then let the Embassy know that I had all documents. On 30th August I received notification of interview on 15th September.
So Vermont and London are mega-efficient. Indeed the London Embassy instigated the process earlier than expected. So 4 months end to end which is at the short end of the web-quoted 4 - 8 months.
Good luck. I'm sure it'll be OK.
One thing that I did note was that the on-line search for progress after the NOA by entering my case number gave the frightening response that there was no record of that number!
