After receiving my 1st NOA from the CSC, it took them 20 days to decide they wanted
additional evidence and sent me an RFE. It's been 35 days since I submitted the
additional information and still no approval! Is it suppose to take this long,
considering, if they sent me the RFE they already have looked at my application file
and accompanying evidence?

The info you sent in for the RFE is probably sitting on the mail shelf and has never
made it to the desk yet, frankly. Alvena

Hi All!

I think it would be helpful if people would state why their RFE was requested. I
might keep someone else from making the same mistake.

Take care,

Mike

We sent our application to the CSC on 9th October, received 1st NOA on 31st and now 36 days later nothing. I've called the automated service every morning since day 30 from England and no change and then spent an hour on redial to get through to them when the phones were manned, only to be told they wont discuss it with me as Im only the benificiary not the petitioner. Urgh. The guy kept saying, you have to wait 4 weeks, yet on Tuesday its been 6. No RFE at all yet, I dont know if thats a good or bad sign
I do know this is driving me crazy.

Heck, if you have the money, going to Oz, marriage there, and DCF at the Sydney/Perth
consulate for I-130 would be much quicker. See "DCF: Which visa" link at doc steen
site if interested. Alvena
