Default *rant* I guess I'm spoiled..

The Consulate has had my husbands file 9 days and still no interview date or reason why the packet hasn't been sent. They say our info has been updated in their system and really there's nothing else to do but wait for an interview date. But no reason why one hasn't been set.

I'm looking at some other people going through Lagos and it looks like we might be looking at the end of JUNE! It makes me nuts! It takes almost as long to get an interview date once they ALREADY HAVE the file, as it did for them to get the darn file in the first place! That's just carzy! So by the time he get's his interview it will be 7 months or longer from beginning to end.

The 130 is close to that! Some time saver! It's a joke! I remember reading someone saying that spouses should be able to wait stateside while the are being processed. That's got my vote. This process seems redundant to me.

Okay, I've been on the NG for almost a year and this is my first rant.. I'm kind of proud that I've held it together this long. haha
I just miss him.. His birthday is Monday.. Our six month anniversary is the 20th. It sucks..

Okay, I'm done now...

Annie>>> I know how you feel. Last April my fiance was denied the K-1, and
asked to submit more evidence, and after he did, we waited SEVEN more months to
be denied again.
Our next plan is to marry (If I had known they woud have made us wait sooooo
long for another denial, we would have married when he visited last year) and
start waiting and waiting some more on a K-3.
Those of us who are married, and soon I will be in those ranks, should be
allowed to wait out the I-130 State side. I had said that in *my* last rant.
It does help to rant a little.

7 months? Consider yourself fortunate. My fiance and I waited 10.5 months from beginning to end. (As they say, just grin and bear it.) Everyone here who's loved one is a foreign national knows the hardest part in this immigration process is the separation, that's a given. So, this is where you and he must exercise patience. Ruthann, just keep doing what you're doing hon: regular telephone calls, emails, e-cards, pictures - it's doesn't ease the total pain of the wait, but CONSTANT communication helps to lessen the severity of it.

All the best to you and yours!
