You gotta love Telus!

Yesterday I got home from work and to my surprise in my mailbox was a wireless router.

Mr MMC is moving up to Rocky Mountain House on Saturday and I contacted telus last week to say that we required another connection in our name up there, as well as the one here in Drum as we will be flitting between both houses. The connection for the new place is to take place on Friday (and as we won't be going up there til Saturday I assumed that we would probably miss the delivery for up there for the router and that Mr MMC would have to go to the post office when it came and take it from there.

Upon finding this router in the mailbox here alarm bells started to ring (I fail to believe a company would be soooooo organised to send the new kit to the exisitng address ready for us to take up with us at the weekend)

How right I was - after an hour of trying to explain the situation I am still no closer to finding out what the router was doing here but managed to confirm that the existing phone line is continuing and the new one being switched on on Friday.

Will wait with baited breath for this one to be disconnected and the new one to not be connected at all - such is my faith in service providers :(

Oh and the electricity company could not find the house for the services there - even though the previous occupant had her power supplied by them so I need to find a meter number

So in other words - they are about as useless as the companies here in the UK

Yes and Telus is one of the companies that is going to charge 15 cents per incoming text! According to the paper its because texting is becoming so popular they can no longer do it for nothing. However, isn't that a bit like your ISP charging you for every incoming email??

Its an ironic thing and I have noted it on both sides of the Atlantic,
that communications companies have the worst comunication skills of all companies.:huh::D
