You would be amazed at how many companies still force their employees to use ie6.

It's a stress at work and human rights issue.

Personally I prefer Chrome....

Did you notice on the article - Chrome is tied in last place with Safari for security

I did notice - for password security.

But the advantage of having such a fast browser....

My second favourite browser is of course Safari (I'm a mac user by choice).

Firefox is good for work as I can take screenshots and comment on them which is swell....

Safari for Windows. Not on a Mac.

Am I relatively safe if I'm working through a router with a firewall?

but it's supposedly a password-security issue with IE7 that Richard Wray is writing about in this article. It's a strange article - the security study he cites was done by a very small consulting company using interesting methodologies: pass/fail tests for mutually exclusive features being scored as though they were independent http://www.info-svc.com/news/2008/12-12/

You cannot possibly reconcile concern about the issues addressed in this article with use of Chrome as a browser.

FWIW I use IE7 at work, and a mixture of IE7 and Firefox at home. I hate Firefox 3 with a vengeance - its instability and general crankiness led me to return to IE7 as I couldn't get FF2 to reinstall.

you're relatively safe period unless you habitually access Chinese internet gaming sites with a password that you've saved within IE7's automatic password system.

Nope.

You're relatively safe if you use firefox and don't click on dodgy looking links like this one:

I personally feel that there's a slight exaggeration in security issues, as long as one is careful where one browses...

Ta. I don't frequent Chinese gaming sites and my Norton/Spy Sweeper subscriptions are up to date.

I have to confess to being a recent and passionate convert to Chrome. Well fast.

I find FF3 very good, the only 2 times it's crashed on me were during YouTube sessions. I use Chrome as my second choice browser mainly for YouTube now.

What's great in Chrome is only having one box for both URLs and Google search - I get all confused now in Safari & FF

Re: A Xmas present from Bill Gates.

I have a warning about Chrome. I downloaded it, messed around a bit. Decided I couldn't be bothered to figure out how to get my favourites in those boxes at the top. Uninstalled it.

Then I discovered that none of the links in emails in Outlook Express worked as links. By googling the problem, I concluded that my file associations had been changed. Sure enough, the one that should have said ".....iexplore.exe" now said something about "Chrome". So even though I had gone into the control panel and uninstalled Chrome, it didn't fix this. I had to change everything back myself.

That kind of thing really bugs me and it will be a long time before I bother with Chrome again - if ever. I have heard from other people that they found lots of glitches.
