Speaking in 2005 defence counsel Michael Melville-Shreeve said Truscott was a ''sad, isolated, peculiar man with peculiar habits'' who ''definitely needed help''

Michael Melville-Shreeve. Master of understatement.;)

One cannot even begin to imagine the inner workings of that man's mind.

One does not even dare contemplate considering the contents of his hard drive.

It would appear that he is still waiting for that ''definitely needed help''.

Sad really.

I switched, many years ago, because of the ink.

Oh, I can fully understand that. Especially when reading on-line.

It was more to do with the crossword and commuting on the tube.

The Gruan had much better crosswords but the ink was naff. I'd turn up to work after 30 minutes on the tube, having been rubbing my bleary early-morning eyes while crosswording, and I'd look like something out of Braveheart. I switched to the Torygraph because it didn't come off in your hand. As it were. Crap crossword, though. Far too easy.

I rather miss crosswords.

At times, your technical sophistication is overwhelming....
