Writing Fake News

Experience: I write fake news

I’m furthering ignorance, certainly, but I don’t think people have died as a result of my work....The first jobs I got were pretty shady. I was writing fake Amazon reviews...I’ve written fake reviews of amplifiers, baby products, printers and sex toys...Recently, we’ve tried to boost the site up the Google rankings...This is against their rules...

I write articles arguing that banning bump stocks, which enable semi-automatic guns to fire more rapidly, won’t prevent mass shootings and that the left skews statistics. I believe the opposite to be true.
But only the first jobs were shady.

I vehemently disagree with what I write, and with the sites I write for...But I don’t have a moral problem with it.
:(

I have never made up a statistic, invented a story
Uh....

Though I do not believe the stories I write, I don’t count this as lying.
That's a strange one. But an interesting read and warning to us all.

Hmmm... Do I believe this? Is it fake news? Do I care?

Wonder if he was paid for the article, if not why do it?

It's a bit like asking the man who often tells lies if he's telling the truth, a waste of time.

It's a regular feature in the paper where 'ordinary' people write about unusual experiences.
