Winter
Hi, I'm new on the site and have been trawling through threads.
Lots of Autumn pics. Fall, if you insist..:p Does anybody have any winter pics? So far, I've only been to Canada once, in August. It rained. My wife tells me I should be there in winter before we decide to emigrate. So, pics are the next best thing for now....Anyone got any? |

We had snow on the ground from October to April last winter. I would live through an Albertan winter over a English winter anytime.

Marble: it's very difficult to take winter time pictures in Canada. As you know, we live in total darkness from November until mid-March. Moreover, it's so cold that what few photons there are, are so feeble that you need special equipment to record them.

Re: Winter
Pictures don't really do justice to the winter experience. Your wife is right (of course...isn't she always)...you should experience it before you decide to move here if you can, as it looks quite beautiful, but doesn't really communicate the feeling of the inside of your nose freezing up.

don't forget that crazy itch that starts once the humidity has been at 0 for a while |
Re: Winter

We haven't seen much snow in the past few years, so maybe this winter will be the year we see a good coating of the white stuff on the valley floor. Oggy |
