I got 50% too. First year in Canada (2011) we didn't get snow till Boxing Day, and I was slightly disappointed. This year I have my fingers crossed for a Christmas of dead leaves, and no shovelling. :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

St. John’s in the 50% bracket too. Sounds about right based on my 13 Year’s living here. I don’t think we’ll have a white Christmas this year -tomorrow is going to be wet and windy but +15c!

50% sounds right for Regina given the current trend, it's melting.

Re: Winter 2017-18

We've had 12 winters and, I think, only two that were not officially white. They were both in the last few years - just as that hellish one was in the last few years. I have a feeling the really incredibly snowy winter was actually one of them.

Of those two 'green christmases' one of them was actually white - a complete blanket - but strangely not enough to classify as white.

But even 2 from 12 suggests only 50% is unlikely.

First snow is happening now.

I had a bet for a beer with some BE'r who moved to Regina over white Christmas and it snowed Christmas eve and I posted a pic of it and never did get my drink. I know you aren't all like that, but it's disheartening.

3 or 4 inches of snow on the driveway now, serious snow expected over the next few days. The first outing for the blower this winter can't be far off.

Still nothing worth talking of here. Some white dots whirled around but that's it. Cold though with a lazy wind that can't be bothered to go round you so it goes straight through.

Same here a few inches of fluffy. It only took the missus 15 minutes with a shovel. The blower will be out in a couple of days, though, I'm sure.

Agreed. Driving on summer tires through that mess would be awful.
