I got one of these for half price the other day, but haven't opened it yet. At $4.49/200g I won't hesitate on these PC Black Label ones, but for full price it isn't a very big piece of cheese. They are good cheeses, way tastier than the Canadian aged white cheddar.

Yes, and I think it's a good sign PC has actually started branding their own import cheeses. Good for prices anyhow!

I have actually wondered about the differences because one label says vintage and the other says extra mature. I've tried both a couple a times and while very good I couldn't actually tell one from the other.

I managed to score myself a piece of Stilton last week from Sobeys. Lovely.

And I'd forgotten how well it went with my whisky 7up. Castello Danish Blue was acceptable as a substitute for a while but not the real thing.

There's no delivery from Sobeys here and Instacart doesn't do Sobeys either. Last week was my first trip there since Covid; it's easy to combine it with the liquor store.

I've been having a nice Gouda from Walmart in the meantime which works with the drink too. But the Stilton is best.

Hi Millie, I'm currently working through a range of french cheeses that were delivered in insulated, chilled shipping boxes from a cousin in France. Epoise de Bourgogne, an excellent Rochefort, Comte and of course a Camembert faite a la main a la louche, lait cru. A smidgeon of red wine is involved.

Cheese is just gone off milk while wine gets you pissed, what is the point of pairing them? Cheese makes you fat while, again, wine gets you pissed.
