- How do I find a job.....
- Do I need 4x4
- When do I use a block heater
- I dont have my PR card, what should I do
Did I miss any? I know I must have...
- Are Canadian schools really crap?
- Will my TV/VCR/DVD work?
- Should I bring my furniture?
- Will there be hair straighteners?
- Two weeks holiday? That can't be right!

"how can I retire to Canada? I dont want to work so presume I can just turn up and live in Canda for as long as I want? I have loads of money from selling my house in the UK so I wont be a drain on the system. Obviously I dont plan on paying any tax in Canada but I have lots of money so will be able to buy my house outright and live off all the loads of money I have left over" etc etc

I think you may have missed the original intent of the thread, which was nothing to do with this forum as it happens, and also the tongue in cheek nature of my response.

Okay I will admit now I have re-read the thread without a child screaming in my ear I did misunderstand it - though sometimes you get feeling that people feel like that about the questions us new people put on here......

Why does my Cadbury's chocolate bar taste different?
Where can I get a decent curry?
How come they build houses out of wood?
And the biggie...where should I move to?

I know what you mean there. There are lots of replies that say "do a search" or "read the wiki article" etc and you get the feeling people cant really be bothered to reply which isnt very helpful. But then, looking at it from the other side of the fence - after having only been a member for a few months I have notice the same topics and questions being repeated over and over again in some kind of endless cycle so I guess for those that have been members for several years it must get fairly monotonous sometimes. It does require a lot of patience to keep providing the same answers over and over again.
