Hi Gloveman if you go into your local Multicultural Society they will help you find a job and have contacts direct with local companies. They will also do your resume for you and they also arrange job fairs where local companies that are looking for people go and do interviews. They will help you because you are a new immigrant and thats what they are payed to do. Thats how my OH got his job and they keep in constant contact by email on any new info you may need.
They have got a job fair in Nanaimo next wk. i now thats abit far for you but their may be one closer to where you are. Good Luck :D

I don't know where you are, but if anyone is going to Vancouver, they are looking for 25,000 volunteers for the 2010 winter olympics

They where brilliant with us when we first arrived and sorted us out with all forms and paper work for everything we needed. I will PM you the number i have if you want to ring for info.;)
