When it rains it pours
 

So, I have endometriosis and today is a bad day. Really bad day. Also, new red spots have appeared today. *sigh* Have taken pain meds and will soon be in la-la land when it kicks in.

To top it off we have a grade 2 storm warning. The last one shut down half the country for weeks with no electricity. We live in the sticks in a house on a field in a forest. You get the picture. Filling buckets and bottles with water to be on the safe side as we have horses here.

And all of this when I need every spare minute of the day. I need to sort out all the stuff for march.

So if you don't hear from me in the next few days it's because we have no power = no internet.

Just to wish you a speedy recovery and hope the storm passes quickly, and that the power stays on .I remember those power cuts so well, we were stuck in the middle of all the flooding last July , nightmare, wouldnt want to go through it again.

Yup, was stuck in those too. Fled the worst of it by going here. HAHAHA feels like repetition.

We're expecting hurricane winds, damages to forests and powercuts.

Oh dear, I think the pill is starting to work. My head is getting heavy. No booze for me tonight. Pain wise I'll be fine tomorrow. Rarely get it this bad and when I do it only lasts a day. Last time it was this bad was a few years ago. Not surprised it hits now. The pain can be triggered by stress.

Moving to Canada is stressful but worth it.

<hug> take care of yourself. Still at least when you come to canada you'll be prepared for anything , flood , tornado , power blackout, what ever the country can throw at you ;)

That is true. And I've done snowstorms there and here too so am prepared for those too.

A quick update.

A few hours later I felt no pain but everything was going in slow-motion. Including the TV. When that started to ware off and things around me started moving in normal speed it had quite the opposite effect and everything was suddenly running at double time. Weird!

By 5 am I hear one of the cats moaning outside so I opened the door. The poor thing was hanging on to the door frame by his claws trying not to get picked up by the wind. Ran through the house in to the kitchen and parked himself by the boiler to heat up.

I spent all of saturday on the sofa with a migraine. Apparently a couple of trees had fallen and blocked the road. Dad took the chain saw and cleared it. (Bless him! He's 81!)

Turned the horses out mid morning as the wind was still a bit strong.

Sunday was OK and I was back to normal - ish.

But at least we didn't lose power, nor the phone lines. I only lost a bit of my dignity by being curled up on my parents couch for 48 hours feeling utterly miserable and sorry for myself being a right out baby.


Thanks for the well wishes. I hope it will be a few years before I get a weekend like this again.

That explains the extreme weather! :blink:

Hope you dont get snowed in - at least you will be prepared for Canada - its snowing horizontally here! As fast they plough the road it is covered again, lets hope hubby can get back. :unsure:

There is a dusting of snow outside.

The problem with the wind was that we have had hardly any sub-zero weather so ground is wet and soft when it should be cold and frozen, hence trees falling over just by looking at them.

This is very unusual.

Other than that I am used to 2 feet of snow and more so Canadian winter will not be a problem at all. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt in Canada AND Sweden.
