When movign with school aged children...please anyone can answer?

I was a little surprised this morning when talking to the Head Teacher of my daughter's school, that I must tell where we are going and what school she is going to attend (she just sarted too here, so won't even be in age to go to kindergarden in Canada).
I don't even know where we are going to settle for real, I don't have an address, leave alone what school I am going to apply to for her.

It made me feel she was probably thinking am a bad/weird parent...

She said that the council "tracks" children scholarisation/education... (that is actually just how it felt, being tracked!!! LoL)

We're flying next Sunday!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

Never heard that before.

Tell them that your sect leader is predicting armageddon and that you are all moving off grid and that you cant say where too. That should get their pulse racing:sneaky:

Our school didn't ask for this information.....and technically we were only coming to Canada for a year at first, so we should have been returning to the same school.

What would happen if you decided to home school???

I would just tell them you don't know yet, and don't worry about it.

Good luck with the move...

If a head teacher told me that they tracked 'scholarisation' I think I'd poke her in the eyes.

I think she means if you are moving within the UK, I doubt very much if they track over seas moves.

It would appear that UK teachers are now speaking "Canadian":p

When we moved over here, the school only really wanted to know when the kids last day would be.

They did ask where we were going to, but more in an "oh how exciting where are you going" kind of way, and they certainly didn't ask what school the kids would be going to or even if they would be going to school.

This information should only refer to a UK move. She has no need to know, nor should really care where you are going overseas.

She will inform the education department that your children have been removed from her school/register. That's it really. Don't worry.

Thank you for your replies, the new word I probably made up, she must have said schooling, LOL!!! That's me struggling with both languages - although even in french it'd rather be scolarite, not "scolarisation" OMG... our poor children being "schoolarilised" sounds like a sort of mutilation doesn't it?!

When I mention well, what should happen then if I decided to home school (because of us moving a lot I even added) she sounded horrified :-( and that I could not do that or say that just like that... it had to be authorised, etc... (what is she thinking??? that I am trying to keep my children and raise them in the dark like prisonners??? Her comments and attitude made me feel like she perceive me as a strange/weird kind of parent :-( but nevermind, I am maybe a bit alternative - and again not so sure of the norm nowadays!!!)

I was distressed, I don't want to disclose too much because one of the governors there is our next door neighbour, and after an argument we had 5 years ago she has been harrassing me, I could (have all the documents for it) sue her for it... but I prefer running away.
Away to safety, then we will see!!! AH AH AH
It got worse when I discovered on the 2nd day of school that she was taking one of her kids to the same school, and that she did bully me on the way too (following me very close with her car and beeping!!! - the idiot! Sorry am still angry with what she does)

We have been living in fear, hiding, taking other ways, other times to go out, every time we were unlucky enough to be in the same common area, we ignore her deregatory comments and insults, staring, but in every day life, she throws pet dander on our front door, she starts rumour, got other kids to mess in front of our windows, our cars have been damaged...

So taking all that on the way to school is too much!!! LoL...

I thought I had chosen the school carefully to be out of the way of the next door negihbour, but got it wrong obviously, it was such a shock and disappointment, I made the decision to follow my husband plans of going to Canada immediately!!!

I am thinking of writing all of that story and mail it to her, at a later time, when we are settled... with less to do, because at the moment it's crazy
