whats yours like??

Re: whats yours like??
Ours.... We bought an RV Park & Campground in McBride, in the Robson Valley in Northern BC. Moved in June this year. House is small but there's only two of us and its enough to maintain 12 acres without having to worry about the house as well. Its a remote life, water comes straight from the Fraser River, nearest decent shopping is 2 hours away and the wildlife is abundant. We love it!!! It sure beats the square patch of dirt we had in Sussex!!!!

BC Hopefuls - Wow, you were very lucky - well done you ! A kettle, hey? Too much!
Well, I guess you had plenty of time to get to know the site and the owners and the nitty gritty about the running of it and income, etc. Lovely - best of luck with it all

Your living our dream! When our daughter finishes school we will find ourselves a nice campground to run......unless an absolute dreamy place presents itself beforehand.
Where did you find your campground listed? I have found a couple of places on the 'net that advertise them but is there a secret thing I don't know about?

Well spotted!!!! Its actually an Acadianne, a Dyane derivative van and yes we have brought it with us. This is she outside the house.
Had a nightmare with shipping & customs. Customs manged to push out one of the back windows and ripped off a side panel. Whatever they were looking for it wasn't there!!! We also have a spare engine & gearbox on the way. gonna keep it running for ever!!!!

Good idea - Mica Mountain got quite an impressive dumping of snow yesterday. One minute the view was completely obscured by low cloud, then it cleared and the mountain was all white up top...beautiful!

Re: whats yours like??
Oh, thanks Steve. It is a picture-postcard location, but getting a property like this for the price we paid meant being 3.5hrs drive from the nearest city, and around 5 hrs from the nearest major airport (for visits back to the UK to see family) so it's probably not for most people. We love it though! I couldn't really imagine our youngest doing this in the back garden of our 3 bed semi in Chester:

Thanks for the links - more dreaming, I just hope we don't find the 'perfect' place too soon, that would really throw a spanner in the works

Re: whats yours like??
Are we allowed to show U.K. properties if no sorry if yes then here they are..
The first photo is my street, my flat is on the back of the tenement.
The second photo is my flat from Arthur's seat, it's the tenement block to the left of the orangey looking new flats, you can see a bright green fence to the right of that is our garden.
The third photo is the back of the tenement block (from the car park of the orangey new looking flats) which you can see the windows to my flat, they are the three windows diagonally below right of the black satellite dish.
Thanks for looking.
