Re: What would you do...
My cat has seen the business end of a veterinary scalpel, and he can frolic with the best of them. In fact, he would be disgusted to be thought a mere gamboler.

Given that the cat in question favours the frolicsome head butt, we might consider him a Glasgae Gamboler.

They may have a little less money in their pocket and the government may have a little more money to spend on educating little ones, building infrastructure, ensuring the population`s health is looked after etc. I take it you also believe it is OK for people to cheat the government out of benefits etc or is it just OK to not pay the government its due but not OK to actually take money from it (despite the fact that the net result is the same). |

It doesn't matter if it's $10 or $10 million - if 2 people are willing and able to make a transaction without any paperwork, it should be nobody's business but theirs.

Oh I agree, if it was as simple as him starting to pay tax he totally should. However he had been breaking the law for over 10 years as an illegal foreign worker. I doubt he could just start paying and everything would be fine. No. I thought it was purely a response to the cash in hand aspect. Thank you for the clarification. |

I disagree and I really don`t believe that you are advocationg for employers to employ people totally off the books without the payment of taxes etc. As I am sure you are aware, this would be relatively simple for those with money to achieve.
