Default What on earth do you buy???????

Obviously some of you know I'm off to England to see my new grandson <insert awww / coos / nauseating stream of pictures that look exactly the same > however, I will obviously be wanting to bring some souvenir gifty type things for Canadian family members (8 kids of varying ages and 4 adult couples) but what????

When people visit Canada they bring home trinkets with moose or bear / mountie pics / maple leaf summat or other, but what would you class as being typically British without stooping to the "bear in a bearskin" type thing

Bare in mind this is a rural redneck family so a historical scroll of the kings and queens of England since the dawn of time probably won't go down too well - nor do I have enough duty free allowance to bring back what I'd like to.

Any suggestions would seriously be greatly appreciated

Policeman helmets; red phone box / london bus money boxes; Teddy Bear with England t.shirt; Keep calm, carry on mugs; Union Jack t.pot;
Page 3 calendar; London/UK sweatshirt or rugby shirt; Union Jack socks; Union Jack toque; Beatles/Rolling Stones t.shirts - or if they watch footy, how about a team shirt or scarf?

Yes, My policeman helmets always went down well with kids. Biscuits in Red Phone box tins, also ladies always liked "typical" Bitish smellies like Some of the nicer lavender companies make. I bought Hard Rock Cafe London sweatshirts for a couple of older kids, who I suspected would like the 'name' - they did.
Have a great end to your hols

Curious as to why you underlined the calendar. Are you Miss July or something?

Lol, I wish!

I've bought these for a couple of people here, they were immensely popular (no idea why ) and have been kept even though they expired over 10 years ago - so an ongoing gift!

I remember Costco in the UK had some sets of tea varieties (like a tea selection box) which seemed to be quite liked when we brought them back as gifts. They also had good sets of unusual UK branded sweets.
