Got back a week ago from being in the UK for week staying with my sister in a town just outside of Liverpool.

It was a strange feeling being there not hearing a foreign language spoken, or seeing signs in shop windows only in English - the lack of multiculturalism & diversity - I had to shake my head, 'am I in another world'!

Its good to be back so as to have a good whinge about all that is wrong with Canada

"Tune in radio" is a great app, I often listen to radio one while doing my weights 3x a week.

What I think is funny is how in the 70s the records played on the radio in the UK (except for when it was past bedtime) was mostly Donny, Showaddywaddy, Mud, Rubettes, Middle of the Road etc and not the stuff I wanted to hear at all.

Who'd have though that 40 years later I'd get to hear it routinely, even in bloody supermarkets.

People using the expression, 'By Jingo!'
Barley wine
New Romantics
Moaning about council workers
Fear of rabies
Trying to watch a film while sat behind someone who's smoked 40-a-day Capstan Full Strength all their life.

Both Derek and the girls lack discrimination and seem very content- it is I suppose me being the picky one

Never occurred to me that I would miss it. I used to be able to see and hear the sea from my house. The beach was a ten minute walk away (across a golf course, but you can't have everything) or a short walk from the village shop, which also sold choccy biccies and cream. I haven't seen the sea for over five years.

Nor me. 2008 I reckon. And it's only about 20 minutes away by car.
