On a hot day after playing the park, we'd nip into the cemetery next door, fill an old watering can from the tap there and drink from the spout.

+1. How I managed to go clubbing as a student, get hammered and be at work for 8am on a checkout is beyond me.

Worked my day job til 5pm, went to my evening job at 9pm, worked until 4.30am, walked home via the dairy and the bakers and picked up milk and warm custard tarts, ate them walking home, went to bed at 5am and got up again at 8am to start work at 8.30 - I did this for nearly 4 months. I caught up on sleep on the weekends as I wouldn't have my day job to go to.
I was saving up to go abroad for 3 months, couldn't do it now.
Edit. I used to be able to drink 12 pints of Guinness in one long session and still be standing - couldn't do that now either!
